Insurance/PreCert Claims Coordinator
CVR is seeking a Claims Coordinator for our Insurance Verification & Precertification Department in Greenbelt, MD! The Claims Coordinator processes authorizations prior to claim submission, as well as following up on denied claim tasks. This role is unique, in that it will also be cross-trained in all aspects of Insurance Verification & Precertification. Learn new things every day while working with your team toward dept goals & helping our patients receive the care they need. Duties and Responsibilities: Submit & follow up on preauthorization requests and date of service change requests for patient appointments. Work together with your home dept team and the clinic teams Verify patient eligibility and benefits information Update patient demographics and insurance info as needed Handle patient's sensitive information appropriately under HIPAA Respond to questions from insurance companies and patients Will be cross trained to handle all functions of benefits, precertification and medical records requests Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years in administrative experience in a medical office.
