We are looking for career oriented qualified food service professionals for our very busy private school dining service with boarding students. The Sous Chef assists with the development and planning of menus, coordinates, executes, supervises and evaluates all the food production activities of a fast-paced, customer satisfaction-focused operation. The Sous Chef will assist in the management of the strategic and day-to-day operations. The Sous Chef maintains the highest professional food quality and sanitation standards. Culinary degree preferred. 4+ years experience in high volume kitchen production including student feeding and large catering events. Proven leader of a culinary team that plans, produces and presents items for Cafe and Catering. Menu planning, costing and production controls are essential skills. The ability to oversee multiple areas of production. Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the Food Service Director and Culinart's marketing and culinary team. Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, sanitation and safety. Proficient in Microsoft software;inventory programs; ordering systems. Demonstrate an understanding of current culinary market/trends and creative food presentation.
