NES seeks a Senior Plans and Technical Services Specialist with excellent customer service skills to support the the Headquarters Department of the Army, CIO/G6 Staff. The Senior Plans and Technical Services Specialist provides task-unique functional expertise necessary to interpret requirements, ensure responsiveness and achieve successful performance. Advises IT consultants with the analysis, evaluation and implementation of systems and other IT tasks within their specialized area of expertise. Provides recommendations to ensure strategic direction and mission are met.As a highly visible member of the team embedded directly with our customer, the successful candidates' responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Support programming activities regarding Department of the Army Enterprise Network Domain programs Gather customer technical and functional application requirements, including engineering and gap analyses Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution Provide authoritative technical guidance in overcoming technical obstacles and questions Knowledge and experience in governance, oversight, development, management, and integration of programs and portfolio management Ability to work under pressure and compressed time constraints as a member of a cross-functional team Ability to comprehensively problem solve independent of external guidance Experience with facilitating meetings, preparing presentations, and leading requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders Required Experience BS required 7+ years of experience with Army tactical networking modernization efforts a plus Demonstrated problem solving ability and the ability to manage competing demands Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Professional products; strong written and verbal communications skills for the significant interaction with senior level personnel Strong background in DoD acquisitions, IT, strategic/tactical communications and/or cybersecurity desired. Technical certification (CCNA, JNCIA, MCSE, etc) desired PMP or ITIL certification desired Senior DoD/Army Staff support experience desired Clearance Requirements: The selected candidate must have an active Secret Clearance to begin employment. US CITIZENSHIP is required. Job Location Pentagon and/or Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, United States (Travel may be required) Position Type: Full-Time/Regular
