Patient First is accepting applications for Registered Nurses in the Bel Air, MD area. Patient First provides a friendly work environment that promotes a team oriented philosophy. The responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: Implementing Patient First policies and procedures; Using sound judgment when administering medical care and screening patients; Offering quality nursing care and generating a genuinely warm and friendly atmosphere for patients and employees; Assisting the physician in all emergency cases; Fostering team work and a positive and professional atmosphere. Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following: Minimum typing experience; Employee must be 18 years of age or older; High school graduate or equivalent; One year of technician training in a formal training program; A minimum of 60 semester hours from a regionally accredited college, including classes in chemistry, biology, and medical laboratory techniques, or an Associate degree in chemistry, biology or related science. A completion of clinical rotations in the areas of microbiology, urinalysis, chemistry and hematology; or 50 week military Medical Laboratory Procedures course that meet the qualifications for military enlisted occupational specialty of "Medical Laboratory Specialist"; Registered Medical Technologists (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or other recognized certification agency of medical laboratory professionals a plus.
