Control Tec Inc is a full service commercial mechanical firm. We service the Baltimore, Washington DC, and northern Virginia corridor. We are seeking an experienced service technicians.​ Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial service & construction, and the start-up & installation of commercial equipment.​ Successful candidates will be compensated with a generous benefit package including; IRA with company match Health/Dental/Vision plan Paid holidays Competitive salary Company vehicle provided including gas, maintenance, and associated fees Paid vacation Uniform and safety equipment is provided by company HVAC Service Technician Maintaining and repairing all types of HVAC systems and associated components, including computerized control systems. Monitoring and repair of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, equipment, and controls.​ Install, modify, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain air conditioning equipment and systems. Provide preventive and predictive maintenance on required systems.​ Establish environmental systems by mounting, installing, fabricating, or connecting compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, expansion and discharge values, motors, temperature and humidity controls, fans, control panels, switches, fuses, filters, gauges, ducts, piping, tubing, and related components; and completes power connections.​ Studies work orders, diagrams, specifications, drawings, and blueprints. Responsible for gathering required materials, testing and repairing systems; identifying malfunctions; repairing or replacing sealants, parts, and components. Service/Install Manager Performs technical support programs (TSP)service agreement tasks and scheduled assignments to ensure that automation and Mechanical systems are properly maintained and operating correctly. Responds to customer service calls, checks indicated points of trouble, analyzes full requirements of system involved and checks and tests systems components. Diagnoses trouble or defect, determines corrective action and repairs system. Performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation and mechanical system and components. Tests and verifies systems readings ensuring an optimal system operation. Identifies additional chargeable opportunities including time and material work, system upgrades and services contact expansion. Completes service repairs, replacements, upgrades, adjustments and calibration on automation systems and components following issued tasking, maintenance, and troubleshooting and installation instructions. Participates in job site final walk and/or final completion for systems to service turnover on assigned jobs. Delivers technical support, coaching and direction to field labor when applicable. Candidate must possess at least seven (7) years of experience working on commercial heating/​air conditioning/​refrigeration systems and controls.​ Requires a high school education, vocational or technical education or equivalent related experience & ability to read and understand blueprints and apply basic math.​ Candidate must understand local electrical and H.​V.​A.​C.​ codes and have a mechanical aptitude.​ Candidate must be able to self-diagnose and repair all parts of commercial HVAC equipment. Candidate must possess documentation skills, conceptual skills, attention to detail, and dependability. Candidate must possess knowledge of hazard and safety practices common to trade. Candidate must possess strong organizational skills; computer experience is a plus.
