Summary / Description We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Architects, interested in joining our team in Reston, VA and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.In this role you will provide team leadership and creativity in the development and implementation of grants and benefit management solutions. Assesses client's business objectives, conducts gap analysis of existing versus needed capability, and identifies business requirements. Evaluates business requirements to identify potential software, hardware, and system architectures can be employed to meet client's business objectives. Develops potential technical solutions to meet grants management business needs and supports analysis of alternatives for best fit. Evaluates technical trends and provides recommendations for technology and architecture to meet business objectives. Performs research on emerging technologies to support solution capability objectives and identifies future solution evolution and enhancements for the client.Duties/Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Grants Architect is responsible for leading the creation of grants management solutions that meet client requirements, including architecting, developing, testing, and supporting release and continual improvement. The Senior Grants Architect will work with the Project Manager to provide oversight across the contract, all contract task orders as applicable, and contractual deliverables. The qualified candidate will consult and review the system requirements and then identify the most appropriate approach for meeting these requirements. Assists with preparation and promulgation of program and risk management including strategy, project controls, project plan reviews, risk analysis and mitigation, staffing, and organization development. Key Qualifications 10-15 years of solution and systems architect experience, including at least three years of Grants, Case or Benefits Management Solutions. Knowledge and experience working on Grants Management solutions (primarily at the Federal level); understanding of Grants Management Life Cycle. Knowledge of Federal Financial Management System requirements is a plus. Strong experience with Agile Development, ideally working on projects with both worker (internal) and public (external) users. Experience with Agile in an AWS environment a plus. Experience with Scaled Agile Framework and Scrum Master Certification a plus. Experience in developing and executing IT projects, with a focus on Business Services/Microservices. Significant User Experience Design (UxD) history. Experience architecting solutions that involve UI Development across a wide range of functions (Mobile, Web, Productivity Tool Integration, Social Collaboration). Experience in assembling interoperable, standards based capabilities exposed as microservices consumed by user interface layers. Experience in Open Source Application hosting (eg, JBoss) and Development (JEE, JavaScript, AngularJS, REST Web Service, Eclipse). Ability to interpret requirements and translate into process flow tooling. Experience with AppDynamics. Understanding of Enterprise Information Management and solutions (Electronic Content Management, BPM) including 'hands on' Business Analysis. Solid DevOps skills including 'Build to Environment' monitoring. Experience as an Infrastructure Architect (Hybrid Cloud and Solution Integration, including cloud storage policies and document management requirements). Proven Release Management skills (demonstrated through complex coordination across multiple organizations from a core location.). Experience providing executive level decisions to meet contract and program goals. Strong oral and written communications skills.
