We are currently seeking Material Handlers for a Controls and Technical Engineer in the Hanover, PA area. Summary: Researches, develops, designs, tests, and supports electronic components, products, and systems for existing and new applications by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interacts with Production, Management, and other Engineering Personnel to seek Best-Practice control solutions. Works with outside Vendors, Contractors, and Applications Engineers to seek Best-Practice recommendations. Designs electronic circuits, components and integrated systems associated with operation and improvement of Production processes, Customer product testing and other systems. As requested: Designs test control apparatus and equipment, determines procedures for testing products and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test controls apparatus and equipment. Directs field operations and maintenance of existing and new electrical control installations. Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and/or equipment to perform engineering tasks. Provides on-going support and recommendations for existing and newly developed control systems. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree (BS) from four-year college or university; or 3 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures, or government regulations, Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning ability: ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Should also be familiar with software applications related to setup. Programming and operation of control systems. Common examples: HMI, PLC, AC, DC and Servo drives. Typical Vendors: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Emerson, Reliance, and other existing or commercially available systems.
