JOB SUMMARY:

This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Operations Division, Technology and Innovation Team (led by the Chief Information Officer), Office of Cybersecurity (led by the Chief Information Security Officer), Cybersecurity Operations Team. The position serves as the Senior Cybersecurity Vulnerability Analyst with responsibility for identifying and facilitating remediation of all information technology vulnerability and security baseline compliance issues across the Bureau.

  • Specialized Experience for CN-60: To qualify at CN-60, you must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade/band (CN-53, GS-13 or equivalent) in the Federal service. For this position specialized experience includes ALL of the following:

    • Experience in IT security, as it relates to IT defense strategies and the protection of IT infrastructure;
    • Experience with information system vulnerabilities and protection concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze and resolve security problems;
    • Experience conducting evaluations and providing oral briefs/presentations to managers and executives; AND
    • Experience as a team leader or project manager.
    Specialized Experience for CN-53: To qualify at CN-53, you must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade/band (CN-52, GS-12 or equivalent) in the Federal service. For this position specialized experience includes ALL of the following:
    • Experience in IT security, as it relates to IT defense strategies and the protection of IT infrastructure;
    • Experience with information system vulnerabilities and protection concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze and resolve security problems; AND
    • Experience conducting evaluations and providing oral briefs/presentations to managers and executives;
    In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving
