This position is located in the Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST), Office of Facilities, Information, and Asset Management (M90) and is responsible for identifying, researching, and creatively solving problems pertaining to the function and quality of the interior environment, and assists with space utilization plans and overall real property issues.

The ideal candidate for this position is an expert who has extensive experience in the areas of identifying, researching, and creatively solving problems pertaining to the function and quality of the interior environment.

This position is located in the DOT building, which sits directly across the street from the metro and blocks away from the New National’s Baseball stadium.

    To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the one year equal or equivalent experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.

    TO QUALIFY FOR THE GS-12 you must have:
    • Experience preparing drawings and documents relative to the design of interior spaces to enhance the safety, health and welfare of the public.
    TO QUALIFY FOR THE GS-13 you must have:
    • Experience managing projects, developing cost estimates, evaluating bid proposals, reviewing construction documents and conducting pre- and post-occupancy evaluations.
    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
