This position is located in the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Program. OCDETF was established in 1982 to mount a comprehensive attack against organized drug traffickers. The OCDETF Program is the centerpiece of the United States Attorney General's drug strategy to reduce the availability of drugs by disrupting and dismantling major drug trafficking organizations, money laundering organizations, and related criminal enterprises.
The incumbent works with the OCDETF Program budget staff on all efforts required for financial planning, operations, and reporting.

A. Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: 1) performing budget execution or formulation work; 2) reviewing budget and accounting records; and 3) using automated financial management systems and databases to prepare charts, graphs, and spreadsheets; OR
B. Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related; OR
C. Have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and have more than two years but less than three years of education as described in B. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year by 36. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify).
To qualify for the GS-12, you must possess the following:
A. Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: 1) performing budget execution or formulation work; 2) monitoring, tracking and reporting on program obligations; and 3) using automated financial management systems and databases to prepare budget reports and statistical material.
