Bishop Ireton High School, a co-educational high school serving 800 students in Alexandria, seeks an Administrative Assistant.  The Administrative Assistant will support the Principal, Assistant Principal, and Faculty. This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Principal.

  • Communication Assistance
  • Evaluation Management
  • Proctor Duty Assignments
  • Parent-Teacher Conference Coordination
  • Syllabi Organization
  • Database Support
  • Coordinates Faculty Leave
  • Circulate Ineligibility List for Athletics
  • Student Support
  • Course Distribution
  • Returning Student Re-Registration
  • Semester and Final Exam Schedules 
  • Coordinate all mailings for School
  • Administrative support for the Principal and Assistant Principal including correspondence and calendar management
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • 2 to 4 years of experience, preferably in an educational setting
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Familiarity with school management software, preferably Blackbaud
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
