Assistant Director of Administration
Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute (NVMHI) is a state psychiatric inpatient facility with 134 beds, located in Falls Church, Virginia. The Northern Virginia area is an internationally diverse, family-friendly region that is situated only minutes away from Washington DC and all its cultural/historical attractions. NVMHI is looking for a driven, detailed orientated person to join our collaborative management team in providing administrative leadership for NVMHI.
The Key Responsibilities are as follows:
Oversee a variety of non-clinical support departments while utilizing Hospital Director guidance to manage budget activities.
Ensure the facility is compliant with CMS, Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.
Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to the Hospital Director in support of the Hospital Director’s strategic thinking and direction.
Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; resolving problems.
Maximize productivity among teams and ensures that outstanding customer-service is provided to internal and external customers.
Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facility, and staff requirements, identifying monetary resources; developing action plans to support to support the Hospital Director’s short and long term goals.
Supervise managers regarding life safety, fire codes, facility security procedures, and building codes to ensure complete and accurate compliance related to environment care and Safety Management.
Facilitate strategic management initiatives through cooperative planning efforts with other members of executive staff; Project Management.
Works with Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) to ensure quality IT support to NVMHI; manages in house IT activities and IT support to the organization.
Maintains a close working relationship with Procurement, to carry out and implement new projects assigned by the Hospital Director.
Provide leadership, direction, management and supervision to the administrative and support services daily.

Considerable experience in Financial Management
Significant supervisory experience within a health care setting.
Experience with CMS, Joint Commission, Environmental of Care regulations within hospital setting strongly preferred.
A Master’s degree in business, accounting, hospital, or public administration from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.
Project Management Certification strongly preferred.
Considerable hospital and/or healthcare experience in an executive leadership role.
