Job Description Join our dynamic team. Public Policy Holding Company (PPHC) is an equity-based partnership exclusive to the public policy marketplace. Operating entities retain their brand equity and management of the member units. PPHC partners will span the spectrum of public policy companies to include public affairs, political advertising, polling, research, grassroots and lobbying. The current firms of the group include lobbying and public affairs. PPHC's main base of operations is the District of Columbia, but some of the operating companies have locations in other states. On a consolidated basis, PPHC has over 50 employees. The HR Generalist will work closely with the leadership team on aligning the human resources agenda to the strategic direction of the company, allowing for the acceleration of growth. The key areas of focus are HR operations (Personnel files, Benefits, Insurance and Payroll.). This is a “hands on” position. You will be relied on heavily to maintain accurate personnel records for several partner companies. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Employee Administration: Create and maintain personnel files for employees General HR guidance Update and maintain ADP employee portal as needed Serve as a liaison to operating companies on employee communications Maintain OSHA records EEO coding and reporting Payroll: Serve as liaison to ADP Access Work Force Now (WFN) administrative portal for implementing payroll/benefits activities Work with operating companies to obtain employee/payroll information Add/Change/Terminate employees for all companies within established timelines Input employee benefit information for deduction & reporting purposes Run payroll twice a month for all companies Review and check payroll reports for accuracy Receive payroll reports & maintain file for audit purposes Work with 3rd party accountant to obtain withholding & SUI ids for operating companies Communicate with ADP on any tax agency notices/issues Benefits: Serve as liaison to benefit companies & operating companies Enroll and administer benefits that PPHC administers through 3rd parties - health, dental, vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, and disability insurance. In the future, 401K Work with ADP on COBRA administration Coordinate Section 125 plan documents for PPHC benefit plans Run discrimination testing as needed Provide employee census as needed for benefit plans Provide timely communications to employees & administer open enrollments Insurance: Serve as liaison for yearly Workers Comp audit Oversee yearly ACA reporting by ADP Expectations: Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Outlook, Word & Excel Operate with integrity and ethics Professional demeanor on the phone & in person Flexible.
