Chef de Cuisine
Job Description Eco Caters DC is looking for a Chef de Cuisine to run our wedding and corporate catering kitchen operations. The right candidate has at least 5 years experience running a catering operation and understands the logistics involved. We have an established brand and a quality reputation and need someone who can maintain that high bar. The Chef would be working alongside Chef-Owner Robert Wood to ensure that our commitment to sustainability and dedication to local purveyors carries forward. The Chef will step into a talented team of professionals, but also have the opportunity to bring along some talent from their contact list. The Chef de Cuisine will be expected to manage all ordering and scheduling directly related to Eco Caters DC operations as well as maintain all standards and norms in the kitchen. The Chef will also need to work with our kitchen admin team to ensure accuracy and integrity in all of our menus and signage at events. We are an expanding hospitality group with a high ceiling, poised to continue a rapid growth rate set out in our first 5 years. Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day culinary operations Coordinate food and kitchenware orders Check freshness and quality of ingredients Assist in the development of menu items Standardize recipes and plate presentations Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests Qualifications: 5+ years Previous experience as Chef of a Catering Company or Banquet Facility Ability to control food and labor cost Diverse knowledge of food and cooking techniques Strong leadership qualities Company Description SuperFd Catering sources local and Organic ingredients to provide meals for DC's top athletes.
