The Senior Systems Administrator role is vital for the End User Computing environment as well as overall IT Operations. The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for:

    Implementing and administering active directoryImplementing, administering and supporting O365/ExchangeImplementing and supporting Unified Communications SolutionsSupports the implementation and maintenance of VDI and Cloud (Azure Government Cloud preferred) SolutionsDevelops scripts for enterprise IT implementations in an environment with over 8,000 end usersDesigns and develops solutions to mitigate Enterprise Security/Cybersecurity issues/attacksProvides network, systems and security knowledge and support in a large scale Federal IT Infrastructure Services environment with over 8,000 end usersImplements and support enterprise account maintenance services including setting up administrator and service accounts.Troubleshoots and recommends solutions in a platform agnostic IT environmentProvides expert level technical support in a multi service provider environment, working with all stakeholders to quickly identify root causes of IT issues and develop pragmatic solutions to maintain service levelsServes as the Tier II/Tier III expert for the program interacting with engineers, technicians, service providers and product specialistsMaintains the integrity and security of servers and systemsMaintains system documentationMakes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.Develops and implements testing strategies and document resultsMaintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assignedParticipates in special projects as required
Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications i) 5-8 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.

ii) Hands-on experience with the following: PowerShell, Splunk, Forefront Identity Manager, Active Directory Administration, O365/Exchange Administration, OS Hardening, VDI, Unified Communications
