The Senior Systems Administrator (Azure Specialist) role is vital for the End User Computing environment as well as overall IT Operations. The Senior Systems Administrator (Azure Specialist) is responsible for:

    Has a considerable working knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform and its servicesSupports migration to Azure and all associated testing effortsProvides escalation support and expertise involving Azure Infrastructure or related issuesProvides cloud solutions knowledge and support in a large scale Federal IT Infrastructure Services environment with over 8,000 end usersImplements and administers active directoryImplements, administers and supports O365/ExchangeSupports the implementation and maintenance of VDI SolutionsDevelops scripts for enterprise IT implementations in an environment with over 8,000 end usersImplements and support enterprise account maintenance services including setting up administrator and service accounts.Provides expert level technical support in a multi service provider environment, working with all stakeholders to quickly identify root causes of IT issues and develop pragmatic solutions to maintain service levelsServes as the Tier II/Tier III expert for the program interacting with engineers, technicians, service providers and product specialistsMaintains the integrity and security of servers and systemsMaintains system documentationDevelops and implements testing strategies and document results.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.Participates in special projects as required.
Education i) Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

ii) Azure Certification preferred

Qualifications i) 8-10 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.

ii) Understanding of cloud computing technologies and emerging computing trends 

iii) Considerable knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Azure platform and its services

iv) Knowledge and understanding of security standards including FISMA and FedRAMP

v) Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred)
