JOB SUMMARY:

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is Worldwide. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) Preference eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

This position is located at Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC), Nonappropriated Fund Human Resources Office (NAF HRO), Arlington Virginia and provides HR advisory services to the following NAF Activities; Army Family Morale Welfare Recreation (FMWR) Activities located on Ft Myer and Ft McNair, Stars and Stripes Center, Pentagon Athletic Center, Army Ten Miler, DoD Concessions and Recreation Services, Defense Intelligence Agency and The Judge Advocate General Lodging in Charlottesville Virginia.

This is a developmental position. Vacancy can be filled at the NF/03 or NF/04 level based on qualification/experience of the applicants.

Salary Range
$54,000.00 to $80,000.00
Salary for NF-03 $54,000.00 - $60,000.00
Salary for NF-04 $60,000.00 - $80,000.00

    1. Human Resources Specialist (NAF/Developmental-1/-2)
    Possess twelve (12) months of work experience in federal human resources office or equivalent, which demonstrates knowledge of at least two of the following functional human resources competencies: Staffing & Recruitment, Position Classification, Management Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or Training. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems.

    2. Highly Preferred: In addition to above minimum qualification requirements, applicants will possess twelve (12) months of prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office and have completed CHRA NAF Career Path I.

    3. Human Resources Specialist (NAF)
    Possess twenty-four (24) months of work experience in a federal human resources office or equivalent which demonstrated knowledge of at least two of the following functional human resources competencies; Staffing & Recruitment, Position Classification, Management Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or Training. Experience analyzing, evaluating and recommending appropriate resolutions to complex interrelated Human Resources problems and issues. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems. The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower pay band (NF-03).

    Highly Preferred: In addition to above minimum qualifications requirements, applicants will possess twelve (12) months of prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office and have completed CHRA NAF Career Path I.
