Meeting Planner / Speaker Logistics

Do you have at least 2 years of experience in the conference and/or trade show industry with an understanding of large-scale meetings and events?  Our client, a well-known membership association near metro center is looking for a Speaker Logistics Temporary to work in their Conferences and Marketing Department through January 2017.  This person will assist the speaker logistics team with the coordination and implementation of educational sessions at conferences and trade shows.

Essential Functions of the job include creating, updating and proofreading speaker related forms and documents; tracking speaker correspondence; monitoring educational content and speaker information in their database; and using their database to generate, review and distribute content and speaker reports.  Will also review and proofread educational content in marketing materials, event signage, website and mobile apps; collect speaker AV information and presentations and monitor educational breakout rooms and room monitors.

Must have at least 2 years of experience in the conference and/or trade show industry, with an understanding of large-scale meetings and events as well as extensive knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with databases.  Travel to the meeting will be required for one week in January 2018.
