Login Now 16:SHP-004: Senior Program Analyst Geographic LocationWashington DCEmployment StatusFull TimePosition Funded?NoRequisition Code16:SHP-004Job ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will effectively implement and ensure that the Government's high standards of performance are met, to include, but not be limited to contractual requirements and timely delivery of quality products. The DPM, in assisting the PM, will execute/support all or a subset of the following tasks: -Provide executive, analytical, management and administrative support including, but not limited to: strategic planning, training and personnel development; coordination of management office operations including management of records, schedules and correspondence; analytical support; deliverables tracking; task management; and advice to the Government to support development of milestones and objectives for the program. -Provide programmatic support for the programs goals, objectives, and acquisition strategies. -Provide acquisition support, management planning and execution support for ship and ship system contract awards. -Provide support to the OPNAV sponsor and NAVSEA. This support will include assistance and research in systems engineering efforts, development of requirements documents, and cost estimating. -Support the program with systems engineering and related efforts as required for the development and management of associated requirements documents and supporting documentation and studies supporting program budget, POM/PR issue support and studies. -Provide program office support to the OPNAV sponsor to clarify and improve understanding with respect to evolving mission package requirements, analysis, MOEs, capabilities requirements and milestone delivery dates, and overall progress toward delivering ships and any associated mission packages. -Assist with performance of cost estimating working closely with the NAVSEA technical authority for systems to include but not be limited to: Review of Government and industry estimates and assumption methodologies. -Provide advice, recommendations and drafts of strategic, programmatic, and business plans. -Support the coordination of the programs risk management process, facilitate risk board meetings and assessments and support maintenance of an interactive web-based risk database. The selected candidate may travel up to 20% of the time, depending on program requirements.QualificationsRequired: -A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated senior level professional experience in the Defense Acquisition process, program management, technical, and business management. Three (3) years of the experience in the previous five (5) years must have been in support of DoD program management. -Demonstrated knowledge of DoD program management, technical, or business management. -Demonstrated understanding of DoD program analysis support and has knowledge of DoD systems acquisitions in the technical or program area specified in the task order. -Bachelors degree in Management, engineering, or related field, or five (5) of the above ten (10) years having demonstrated in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in DoD program management. -Must be well versed in the use of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.
