Summary: Responsible for Project Management and coordination of all Marketing Projects. Reports to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), maintains department project lists and assists the Creative Director. Also engages with SageNet's Project Management Office (PMO) to learn "best practices" for project management skills. Primarily interfaces with Marketing Team and "internal customers" such as sales team and other department heads. Position based in Reston, Virginia office, but also interfaces with associates in other key locations and remote offices. This position is ideal for a recent graduate who has majored in Marketing, Communications, and other similar fields, but is perhaps not certain which aspect of Marketing they are most interested in. Will allow you to experience all facets of marketing and sales integration, as well as exposure to creative process of in-house Creative Team. Allows for career growth into preferred area. Responsibilities:"Point person" for all new Marketing RequestsWork with requesters to successfully complete Marketing Project Request FormsMeets regularly with CMO to Review and Prioritize projectsEstablishes and maintains project lists and priorities on an ongoing and proactive basisMeets regularly with CMO, Creative Director, and Events Manager to review, coordinate and prioritize projectsProactively moves projects through each phase from review to final approvalMaintains archives of all Marketing projectsAssists with management of Partner Co-op Funds: upload files as necessary to Partner Portals, keep track of deadline requirements, etc.Assists Marketing & Sales with coordination of RFP/RFI responses to Customers and ProspectsAssists Event Manager with project coordination of Events, as necessaryIn conjunction with Project Coordination duties: Takes meeting notes, prepares reports, correspondence and graphic presentations utilizing MS Office to include PowerPoint, Word and ExcelProvides proofreading and editing, as necessary (Journalism background helpful, but not required)Manages calendars and schedules meetings as requiredInterfaces effectively with internal and external customers such as vendors and suppliers, senior management and other staff membersAdditional duties as assigned Requirements:1-3 years' work experience, although recent graduates are encouraged to applyMust possess advanced skill level in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ExchangeExceptional, innate organizational and time management skills a mustAbility to balance many projects simultaneously, and prioritize accordinglyRequires highly effective written and verbal communications skillsPositive, friendly, helpful attitude requiredRequires ambition and drive to improve processes, while growing and learning"Go the extra mile" attitude a mustBasic skill level in MS Project (or similar Project Scheduling tool) is a plusExperience with Marketing tools such as Constant Contact, Survey Monkey (or equivalent), and Salesforce helpful, but not required Education Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
