Marketing Content Writer/EditorMain objective: To prepare creative and persuasive copy to urge and persuade StayWell's target markets to buy products and/or utilize services. Educational requirements: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field. Three years related experience preferred. Healthcare background and industry knowledge are preferred.Responsibilities: Responsible for creating pristine written text/copy that works hand-in-hand with the visual concepts generated by the Marketing design team. All copy must be written in the tone suitable for the brand style and appropriate for many channels, including:* Websites, microsites* Emails* Brochures, slicks* News releases, social media* Bylines, blogs* Digital advertising* Sales lettersWorks in fast-passed Marketing division to construct effective creative work that brings clients and prospects to action; a creative mind alongside an organized approach; ability to think laterally and literally; and ability to translate complex ideas and concepts, making them accessible to targeted audiences.The copywriter must keep a close eye on any changes to the healthcare media landscape that will influence concepts and keep projects innovative and fresh. A professional outlook is also required to handle any copy amendments needed and meticulous research skills that ensure all copy is accurate and factual.Typical activities:* Works with the Design and Marketing managers to devise creative strategies* Provides innovative ideation techniques to launch content projects that are memorable * Generates creative ideas to build innovative campaigns* Understands the messages Marketing managers seek to express and is able to translate them into accessible, trendy and exciting content* Writes copy to engage and move the reader to action* Makes timely edits to meet specifications* Adheres to the tone-of-voice requested* Liaises with Marketing managers on a regular basis to write, edit and/or proof copy* Provides feedback to Marketing managers and Marketing coordinators as needed* Is able to work collegially with a large creative team of professionals Skills required:* The ability to write and think creatively* Excellent editing and proofing skills* Significant experience in writing strong, succinct copy that is grammatically correct* A flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to meet the needs of marketing managers* The ability to work to strict deadlines without compromising on work quality* Great organizational skills* An eye for detail* Strong research skills
