Department of Defense Maintenance and Sustainment Analyst
Overview This position is on the staff of a government consulting firm located in McLean, VA. The Maintenance and Sustainment Analyst will contribute to and lead projects and analyses designed to improve the availability of major weapon systems. The incumbent will also assess related systems lifecycle sustainment elements and contribute to products that gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance planning and operations. Responsibilities The incumbent will lead tasks and work with Government personnel and other LMI teammates to conduct studies and analyses regarding maintenance planning, execution, and oversight. This effort includes developing recommendations and initiatives on a variety of topics relating to improving DoD weapons system lifecycle sustainment programs, plans, execution, and evaluation. This position also supports the development of reports, policy recommendations and revisions, and reporting systems at both the OSD/Joint Staff level and in coordination with the Military Departments/Services. The incumbent must be able to work collaboratively to fully understand the issues and positions of all stakeholders and effectively communicate the results of studies, analyses, and improvement initiatives to clients and other stakeholders through written reports and oral presentations. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy or reated field with analytical aspects; Master's degree a plus. Military logistics background is preferred; military maintenance background is a plus; Military Department/Service headquarters experience also a plus.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent and proven analytical skills.Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
