Prior to reporting for duty, the incumbent must be granted a current Top Secret security clearance based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), and be favorably adjudicated for access to SCI. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Prior to reporting for duty, the incumbent must be approved for Presidential Support Duty (PSD) in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (PSD Category II, minimum). Prior to selection, the applicant must be pre-screened for PSD suitability.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. Incumbents of drug testing designated positions will be subject to random testing. Drug test results will be provided to the employing activity/command.
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. This position has been identified as a Career Field Information Technology at Level III. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Designing, installing, operating and maintaining robust communications networks and systems including mobile and fixed plant architectures; 2) Application of network management methods; network enterprise architecture; bandwith management concepts; work flow concepts, IT security methods; agency-level business and mission requirements; and project management principles; and 3) Mastery in secure and non-secure voice, video and data systems over fiber optic, copper, radio and satellite-based transmission media. Your experience in the information technology field must reflect skill in the following areas: management and leadership, attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
