JOB SUMMARY:

The mission of the Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Programs team is to maximize the physical, emotional and social development of the Navy family. FFR enables a ready Navy force through its Fleet Readiness, Family Readiness and Housing Programs. We service all non-appropriated fund (NAF) employees who work for Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) and Bachelor Housing (BH) throughout the Fleet and Family Readiness Program for the Naval District Washington (NDW) Region.

Ability to satisfactorily complete background investigation - National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI), upon hiring and renew every 5 years.

In depth knowledge of the navy organization, mission and lifestyle.  Knowledge of the professional methods necessary to counter any inherent psychological, and/or socioeconomic stresses caused by prolonged separations which affect individual, family, mission performance and command readiness.

Knowledge of and experience in the delivery of education services , with a focus on human/personal growth and development.  Proven skills in developing and coordinating family enrichment programs to meet identified needs   Profession knowledge of adult learning theories.

Extensive experience and expertise in public speaking.  Ability to present information to large, medium, and small groups of people in a clear and concise manner.  Skilled in the use of program presentation technology including PowerPoint software, automate projectors and audiovisual equipment, laser pointers, etc. and the ability to train other in presentation skill building.

Ability to meet and deal effectively with diversified groups, organizations and individuals and maintain and establish clear relationships and lines of communication at all level using tact and diplomacy in all interactions.  Ability to compose written reports and give clear, concise and effective oral presentation.  Skill in written and oral communication sufficient to develop courses curriculum, standard operating procedures, etc.

Some positions have special requirements.  In these cases selection is tentative pending satisfactory completion of these requirements.  Applicants may be required to provide proof of education, etc. All selections are contingent upon the obtaining of satisfactory employment reference checks.

As a condition of employment, the selected individual will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer program.
