Principal Specialist, Training - JHMC
Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for customer personnel. 1. Coordinates the development and delivery of complex training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives. 2. Establishes and reviews course content and objectives for courses within HUMINT Management. 3. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities for courses within HUMINT Management by providing instruction based on the most current iteration of training which is subject to change based upon input from real world events and our executor’s approval. 4. Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness. 5. Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance by developing, updating, and maintaining lesson plans, pertinent training materials, tests, student handouts and critical task lists; providing Training Development Capability (TDC) input; developing schedules and test training support packages; incorporating lessons learned into programs of instruction (POIs); and recommending POI improvements based on approved Government doctrine and Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTP). 6. Provides work leadership to lower level employees, including evaluating the effectiveness of their training presentations and programs, and may have supervisory responsibilities. 7. May serve as technical team or task lead. 8. Conducts research into new training, educational, and multimedia technologies. 9. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 10. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience. Qualifications Personal Security Clearance of TS/SCI. 8-10 years of directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs. At least six-years Federal Government (military and/or civilian) experience with a service specific HUMINT MOS or HUMINT career path; three years must have been in a staff assignment in a CJ-2X, J-2X, JTF 2X/3X, or other joint HUMINT oriented staff/leadership position including at least one six-month deployment in a Joint Operating Area (JOA). Certification to conduct Category I or II MSO, or training for strategic HUMINT collection operations.
