Exciting opportunity with Oracle eBusiness Suite Release 12 (12.1.3) environment including Financials (AP, AR, GL, PO, FA) Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Contracts and OTL modules. Experience with Release 12.1 required. Desired skills include functional knowledge of Oracle Financials (AP, AR, GL, FA, CE) and Projects (Cost & Billing), eBusiness Suite Business Processes, Oracle Application schema and SQL. Additional knowledge of Project Contracts and Shipping modules a plus.

This IT position will be the "liaison" between IT and corporate business units.

Will be responsible for providing support and enhancements for Oracle Financials including Project Cost and Billing, and Project Contracts. Function as the major interface between the IT organization and their customers. Work with the customer to identify and define in detail the customer requirements for information systems solutions. Then, you will work with the IT Software Engineer to translate customer requirements into detail technical requirements that are used as the beginning point in the software solution development process. The Business Analyst (BA) also is involved in creating requirements based software test plans and in performing testing of software. Often the BA is involved in identifying, analyzing and streamlining the customer business processes associated with software solutions. The BA provides ongoing post implementation customer support of the use of the software applications. This position combines understanding of customer requirements and business functions, breadth and technical expertise, and multi-discipline knowledge to recommend innovative ways of implementing technology to support business processes. Primary office location is Westwood, MA. Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities also include:
• Support the IT change control process, gathering the end-user requirements, and communicating IT priorities and delivery status to the business.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Operations, Engineering and IT management in the design, development, and deployment of the organization's Oracle Oracle 12.1.3 eBusiness Suite.
• Develop test scenarios and test cases, including execution and test run validation and coordinate functional user testing.
• Design and development of operational workflows, the development and execution of the roll out strategies, cut-over plans, end-user training and support, and end-user documentation.
• Understand the complexities, interdependencies and data flow of business processes across applications which include GL, AP, AR, PO, Projects, and FA.
• Develop clear functional business requirements/specifications
• Assist in defining and documenting business processes and workflows.
• Troubleshoot production issues through discussion with end users and technical lead. Includes problem recognition, research, and isolation and resolution steps.
• Communication with Oracle Financials development and database teams.

  • BS (Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Systems Engineering) or a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
Master’s Degree is a plus.

Qualifications 2 to 8 years of related successes with in-depth knowledge of: Oracle Financials (AP, AR, GL, FA, PO) and Projects modules (R 12.1, experience with 12.2 a plus). Knowledge of SQL is preferred.
• Must be an effective communicator (written and oral) across all levels of organization, including users, developers and management.
• Knowledgeable about Software Development Life Cycle models.
• Must have experience documenting requirements and developing system / user test plans.
• Able to solve complex problems and be able to make compelling and persuasive presentations to win approval for recommendations.
