Human Resources Business Partner
PenFed is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner in our McLean, Virginia headquarters office. The primary purpose of this job is to support employees by serving as a reliable and trustworthy point of contact, oversee performance management, coach managers in different focuses of Human Resources, and manage a variety of processes to ensure success. Support the development and deployment of innovative, cost-effective HR strategies to employees in all service areas.
Serve as a coach and adviser to managers on issues such as performance management, compensation, strategy, employee relations, learning and development, change management, employee engagement and talent acquisition.
Responsible for the overall performance management of designated business units.
Provide insights, data, and analysis regarding people and organizational issues to guide decisions and solutions.
Maintain a high level of contact and visibility with employees at all levels to foster respectful, trusting and credible relationships. Serve as an advocate for multiple stakeholders to ensure a fair and comprehensive assessment of perspectives and options.
Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiters to promote the employment brand and establish strategies to build the talent pipeline and attract qualified and diverse candidates.
Manage ongoing processes related to the employment lifecycle.
Utilize strong knowledge of HR related legal requirements to minimize legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance; partner with legal counsel as needed on individual situations and projects such as policy development or implementing regulatory changes.
Deliver ongoing project management to ensure deliverables are met on a timely and quality basis.
Work with HR team to maintain the Human Resources budgets, provide strategic direction and support, and contribute to the development and implementation of value-added consultation and metrics.
Takes necessary and appropriate steps to properly document requested and required changes. Ensures employee information and all corresponding data is accurate and up-to-date.
Proactively seek knowledge and expertise in the HR environment, general business trends and practices.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Human Resources consulting, leadership, and organizational development is required.
Real estate industry experience strongly preferred.
Advanced degree with an emphasis in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or related field highly preferred.
Experience coaching and influencing senior management with demonstrated program development expertise is required.
