Health Insurance Resource Manager
Erickson Living is one of the nation's largest Continuing Care Communities providing integrated health services including a Medicare Advantage plan. We are currently recruiting for a Health Insurance Resource Manager to join our growing company. Our Health Insurance Resource Managers work within the community setting and are responsible for developing and executing community based marketing and sales plans to achieve region based enrollment goals. Position available for the Baltimore , Washington DC/Northern VA communities located in Parkville and Catonsville Maryland, Silver Spring Maryland and Fairfax/Ashburn Virginia locations. This position is salaried plus commission based. Erickson Advantage is a United Healthcare Medicare Advantage plan. Licensed health insurance agent required SUMMARY:The Health Insurance Resource Manager (HIRM) is the professional insurance resource to Community residents and their families on matters pertaining to the Erickson Advantage Health Plan and/or insurance matters in general. The Health Insurance Resource Manager (HIRM) serves as the primary health insurance liaison to the Community Executive and Leadership Team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Erickson Advantage Health Plan Sales and Marketing Responsibilities (70%) 51. In response to resident and/or family member requests concerning the Erickson Advantage (EA) Health Plan, the HIRM will review employer group coverage to aid the resident and/or family member to better understand their benefits. (10%) 52. It effectively and compliantly carry out this responsibility, the HIRM will be knowledgeable of all applicable CMS regulations and guidelines specific Medicare Advantage Plans. (10%) 53. The HIRM will create sales events intended to allow new and existing Erickson residents to make sound choices about their health care insurance coverage needs. (5%) 54. The HIRM will develop a base for long-term sources of clients by referral; self-generating leads and/or taking leads. (5%) 5 5. During Medicare Advantage Plan Open Enrollment and throughout the year, assists residents in evaluating their employer sponsored or other supplemental insurance options. Responsible for meeting or exceeding annual enrollment goals . (45%) 56. In response to resident and/or family member requests concerning long-term care (LTC) insurance, the HIRM will assist residents in understanding existing LTC coverage. (2%) 37. The HIRM is responsible for conducting EA specific marketing activities utilizing CMS approved marketing materials. (3%) 58. The HIRM will complete all management required reports pertaining to prospect tracking and reporting. (3%) 59. The HIRM will use best efforts to service and retain EA Health Plan members. This will be accomplished by providing prompt service, ie, responding to general benefit questions; and resolving inbound questions and concerns (in-person; telephonic or electronic) in a timely manner. (10%)510. The HIRM will provide feedback and escalations to senior management regarding necessary member care or coverage issues. (5%) 5 Non-Erickson Advantage Community (Staff) Participation (30%) 51. The HIRM will be expected to fully participate in Community resident prospecting events. Participation would include, but not be limited to helping to register prospective new residents; conducting tours; and answering questions about Community activities and amenities. (10%) 52. The HIRM will be available to answer general/non-specific insurance questions pertaining to Medical Center utilization as well as skilled nursing facility; rehab and ancillary service(s) access. (10%)53. Participation in Community sponsored events intended to reach out to prospective new residents will occur during core hours as well as evenings and weekends. (10%)54. Community sponsored events would include but not be limited to flu shot clinics; blood pressure clinics; and resident celebrations of holidays or special events. (10%)5 5. HIRM participation in Community activities would not take place for the intended purpose of marketing the Erickson Advantage Health Plan. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * College graduate preferred or equivalent years of relevant work experience to be used in substitution. * Sales and/or marketing experience to Medicare eligible markets is preferred. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. LANGUAGE SKILLS: In addition to English, fluency in additional languages is a plus. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Health license to be secured within ninety (90) days of employment.
