The Director/Senior Manager, Operations and Real Estate will report to the Director of Operations and work interdepartmentally with key stakeholders, Finance and Senior Leadership. As a member of Cvent's Operations team, he/she will assist with internal operations processes related to facilities and real estate across a wide range of business functions and departments such as the following: Real estate and facility management, vendor relationship management, operations management and management of operations staff across the company. This individual will have an immediate impact by helping establish and enhancing operational policies and procedures, and improving current ones for our 2,000-person, cloud-based software company. This individual will be responsible for managing the real estate initiatives and needs globally. The Director/Senior Manager must be career-oriented and demonstrate a strong interest in continued professional growth, as this position has the potential to evolve. This person will collaborate across departments to deliver efficient and effective solutions to challenges related to business operations and facilities as well as managing all projects related to real estate with support from Senior Leadership. This will require working closely with procurement and leading purchasing negotiations in order to minimize our procurement expenses so that the company can invest in its growth and people. What You Will Be Doing: * Direct and execute strategic operational strategies, best practices, and initiatives that support improvements in operations, facilities and real estate * Responsible for ensuring supplier quality, total cost of ownership, enhanced service levels, improved coordination, delivery, lead-times, risk compliance and other areas as identified * Executes internal moves with operations staff, re-stacking and other office related project and responsibilities * Serves as the first point of contact for all suppliers related to operations and real estate * Manages the relationships with building management and landlords * Use current information/data and business knowledge to identify real estate options for expansion and relocation as projects arise * Evaluates and analyzes incumbent and potential suppliers in order to maximize company's purchasing power * Own and manage vendor relationships and vendor contracts across global offices * Create and revise operational procedures while creating documentation based on best practices * Own and manage daily physical office administration and office expansions * Solve internal facilities challenges such as coordinating maintenance and working closely with human resources to manage internal resources and physical assets * Ad hoc projects as needed * Bachelor's degree required * 10+ years of direct experience in contracts and procurement or directly related roles * Proven track record of implementing and improving contract policies and procedures * Ability and experience managing corporate contracts across departments * Exceptional organizational and project management skills * Strong decision making/problem solving and solution implementation * Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders * Strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications * Intermediate to advanced level excel proficiency * Demonstrated experience obtaining the highest value during negotiations for corporate purchases is desired Nice to Have Skills: * Hard-core negotiating skills * Strong analytical skills and detail orientation * Former experience working with brokers is a plus * Purchasing and contract renewal negotiations * Experience with managing remote staff * Familiarization with the supplier negotiations, developing/executing sourcing strategies and driving cost savings is a plus EEO[/AA]Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans Cvent maintains a drug-free workplace
