The primary purpose of this job is to maintain information technology strategies and services by managing staff and researching and implementing technological strategic solutions. This position will also maintain industry best practices and demonstrates technical skill to guide staff within assigned responsibility areas and in support of division processing standards.


Essential Functions

    Prints daily statement production during the printing cycle.    Prints daily correspondence including check production, pin mailers, security codes, member account information, etc.                                   Maintains list of all materials, correspondence including forms and inserts printed at PenFed Support Services Production Center ensuring that stays up to date.                                                                                        Prioritizes all incoming printing requests and schedules jobs accordingly, based on need and volume production.                            Determines job specifications for each project through contact with requesting employee/manager.                                                                                                                                     Coordinates with PenFed responsible team members to make necessary changes to printed material and verify the most current forms and documents are being produced.                                                                              Maintains and operates all printing equipment in the Support Services Chantilly Operation.                                                                                        Stocks appropriate levels of printer supplies. Knowledge of continuous forms ‘printing equipment required.                                                                                          Monitors printing equipment including IBM 4000s and 6400s and performs routine maintenance.                                                      Places maintenance calls to vendor and maintains a service log for all printing equipment.  Ability to communicate with internal and external customer required.  Knowledge of  USPS bulk mail rules and processes including Intelligent Mail Barcodes and use of Postal One is required.             This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties.                

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions.                                                                     
  • One year related work experience required.                                     
  • Knowledge of  IBM 4000 continuous form printers and IBM 6400s required.                                            
  • Knowledge of various printing processes preferred.                           
  • Excellent communication skills required.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.  



Limited travel to various worksites is required.
