The EMMES Corporation, organized in 1977, is a privately owned Contract Research Organization (CRO) located in Rockville, Maryland. Emmes is dedicated to providing statistical and epidemiological expertise, computer systems development, data management, study monitoring, regulatory guidance, and overall operational support to clients engaged in clinical and biomedical research.

Emmes is seeking an Executive Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative support and coordination for several projects and their staff in our new Frederick, MD location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact between the project lead, team, and internal/external clients
  • Maintain calendars, schedule and track meetings and appointments, provide reminders, and assist with making travel arrangements
  • Schedule and run web meetings
  • Produce and/or finalize project documents, reports, presentations and briefs
  • Develop and carry out an efficient documentation and filing system
  • Maintain and update project website

Requirements:

  • 3 plus years experience in drafting and coordinating complex reports, documents and presentations
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent years of proven experience as an executive administrative assistant
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to foresee upcoming issues and problems and suggest solutions

Must haves for this position include:

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily workload and competing deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement. Experience working in a contract research organization environment will be given preferential consideration.
