As a Program Manager for the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), National Background Investigations Bureau (NBIB), Federal Investigative Records Enterprise (FIRE), FIRE Outreach, Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL), you will direct, supervise and manage a staff of law enforcement liaison specialist and program analyst who are responsible for major, essential components of the National Background Investigations Program.

PLEASE NOTE:  There is only one vacancy that may be filled in one of the three locations (Boyers, DC or Ft. Meade).

For GS-15:  one full year of experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service that includes an in-depth knowledge of personnel security program requirements and applicable laws and regulations and an understanding of record access requirements to include law enforcement and court record access, including an IT strategy promoting delivery through automation; experience as a sworn law enforcement agent/officer or criminal history record information custodian or Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Officer.  In addition to this, experience in recommending studies and policy changes, collecting and analyzing data to support recommendations and developing procedures to implement changes; and experience performing all management functions of an operation such as planning, organizing and directing short and long-range work to be accomplished by the staff; evaluate work performance of subordinates; hiring and retaining employees; and resolve disciplinary situations.
