This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity, Office of Law Enforcement Policy and Support (LEPS). This office is responsible for developing and recommending policy, programming and planning actions and strategic guidance for law enforcement operations for Military Departments, DoD Agencies and field activities and Combatant Commands. A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
- Reviewing law enforcement training standards and accreditation requirements.
- Applying statutory civilian law enforcement authorities.
- Serving as a law enforcement leader and/or representative on governance boards.
- Providing program oversight of criminal justice and criminal intelligence database systems.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

Candidates may require extensive training and/or orientation in order to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.
