Senior Digital Technology Advisor
The Senior Digital Technology Advisor advises on administrative, technical, and policy oversight for the day-to-day operations of the VOA's technical operations. The Senior Digital Technology Advisor may lead major initiatives that span across agencies and often represents the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to the rest of the OCDO, the VOA, the BBG, and committees composed of governmental, public, and industry group stakeholders. The Senior Digital Technology Advisor must be a leader in digital transformation, bringing DevOps, Agile, Lean, and user-centric approaches to the VOA digital environment. He/she reports to the Chief Digital Officer.

INTRODUCTION TO AGENCY
The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), an independent federal agency, is an exciting, multi-cultural organization that encompasses all United States civilian international broadcasting. The BBG is comprised of five networks broadcasting in 61 languages that include the Voice of America, the Office of Cuba Broadcasting (Radio and TV Marti), and three grantee organizations - Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty; the Middle East Broadcasting Networks (Alhurra TV and Radio Sawa), and Radio Free Asia. The International Broadcasting Bureau provides transmission, administrative, and other support services; and three grantee organizations. Our staff of dedicated professionals serve as an example of a free and independent media, reaching a worldwide audience of 215 million people with news, information, and relevant discussions.

Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. The following are examples of specialized experience: Significant experience at a major commercial or government agency in network architecture, cybersecurity, and managing large numbers of people in a fast-paced environment; Recent progressive information technology experience to include experience developing software at a major commercial company or government agency; Recent Mobile Application Development experience with successful deployments to Android and/or iOS application marketplaces; Recent demonstrated experience at a major commercial or government agency managing agile software development projects for proprietary software/applications; Experience working in and/or leading a DevOps organization.
