Summary PenFed is hiring a Senior Vice President, Shared Service for Mortgages in our headquarters office located in McLean, VA. The primary purpose of this job is to meet investor requirements, achieve member service satisfaction within established net promoter scores goals, maintain compliance with mortgage regulations and responsible for staff at multiple locations. Functional areas of oversight include budget, reporting, analytics, projects, quality assurance, quality control, operational risk management, and training. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and the position will perform other duties as assigned. Define and share a vision of success with key stakeholders. Manage assigned functional areas and evaluates the mortgage loan portfolio ensuring efficient and cost effective operations by analyzing, developing, revising, and implemented related programs, policies and procedures. Serve as an officer of the Credit Union and act as a member of the Management Staff. Create business plans and budgets for the departments and present to the President, Mortgage Banking. Ensure the department conforms to mortgage regulations including Federal and State as well as NCUA and CFPB regulations and secondary marketing requirements. Maintain expert knowledge of mortgage industry and recommends changes to benefit the credit union, members and staff. Oversee budget, reporting, analytics, projects, quality assurance, quality control, operational risk management and training at multiple locations. Coordinate with QC VP issues and create and execute action plans for identified issues that surface within internal or external audits. Coordinate third party partner scorecard performance. Prepare monthly summary of department for President. Prepare ad-hoc reports and white papers as needed and present to executive team periodic updates on the division, to include volume, staffing, service levels and projects. Work closely with Finance for forecasting volume, budget projections, budget preparation, and profitability. Collaborate with Compliance, IT and other departments within the credit union to meet strategic goals. Participate on merger team and reviews loan policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure credit union is not at risk with practices or procedures from third party. Assess loan quality of potential pool purchases. Respond to and implement action plans for Audits from internal auditors or external auditors. Serve on the Mortgage Pricing Committee and the Credit Risk Committee. Education and Experience Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is required. Advance Degree or equivalent is preferred. Minimum of fifteen (15) years' of progressively responsible experience in mortgages is required. Supervisory Responsibility This position will directly supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Travel Ability to travel to various work sites and be on-call required.
