We are looking for a Senior Tax Manager - Fiduciary concentration with a strong technical background and a desire for growth. The essential functions are as follows: Communicate and interface with clients to ensure the clients’ best interests are achieved Provide a final technical review on tax returns and documents, as well as sign tax returns Planning and Research tax issues with recommendations for those issues Stay abreast of developments and changes in tax law and accounting procedures Direct, coordinate, schedule and exercise functional authority for planning, organizing, coordinating and interfacing with clients to ensure all deadlines are met Direct and support subordinates’ activities to achieve objectives and set budgets by providing necessary resources and creating an enjoyable work environment to ensure quality and high performance Facilitate the monitoring of the quality of our product and the performance of our personnel Manage and motivate personnel via positive feedback and counseling Assign, track and manage tasks/projects that are sent to staff/supervisors to prepare Take an active role in developing staff and supervisors Participate in practice development and various firm activities Continually build and nurture an internal and external network and leverage effective relationships to develop new business opportunities Manage monthly billing functions and collections, and monitor Work In Process, aging and write-downs Facilitate and participate in “in-house” CPE and training activities Interaction with state and federal tax authorities on behalf of clients as required Maintain public certification and adequate Continuing Professional Education The requirements for the position are: Certified Public Accountant; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Minimum 6 years of public accounting experience with significant strength in preparation, review and analysis of 706’s, 709’s, 1041’s, and 1040’s a plus Minimum 2 years supervisory experience Excellent oral/written communication skills Well-developed decision-making skills and initiative to make those decisions Work calmly and effectively under pressure Prioritize a heavy work load and remain organized Demonstrated leadership ability Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively   Murray, Jonson, White & Associates Ltd.
