OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN
The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of Attending Physician (OAP) of the United States Capitol. The incumbent provides health technician and administrative services to Members of Congress, staff, and visitors to the buildings under the jurisdiction of the AOC.

The AOC is responsible for the maintenance, operation, development and preservation of 17.4 million square feet of buildings and more than 553 acres of land throughout Capitol Hill. Qualifying on Experience:
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Candidates for the GS-7 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower GS-6 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: 1) Performing a variety of medical screening tests such as blood pressure, vital signs, vision, electrocardiogram, height and weight measurements and more; 2) Performing initial and follow-up first aid care to include, but not limited to dressing changes, wound care for cuts, sprains, burns, etc.; 3) Maintaining medical instruments and equipment used by health care providers and making adjustments when required; and 4) Maintaining accurate, complete and confidential medical records on patients and ensuring proper security archiving requirements.
Qualifying on Education:
You have one year of graduate education in an applicable subject matter field. OR You have a combination of specialized experience at less than one year and more than one year but less than two of the type of education described above.
