Sr Technician, Supply
Performs clerical and manual tasks to maintain an inventory of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. 1. Performs clerical and manual duties in material areas such as receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. 2. Maintains established inventory levels by regularly checking shelves and preparing purchase orders. 3. Stocks vendor deliveries in warehouse or supply room and checks that deliveries conform to purchase orders as to quality and quantity. 4. Maintains a clean, organized warehouse or supply room. 5. Maintains a supply management database, and generates various reports as assigned. 6. Prepares and maintains related documentation. 7. Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced Supply Technicians. 8. Utilizes small hand tools, scales, and may operate material handling equipment such as fork lifts, pallet handlers, and hand trucks. 9. Uses online resources as needed for parts/equipment technical research, data updates, and related communications. 10. Recommends process improvements. 11. Participates in special projects as required. Education Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Qualifications 3-5 years of related inventory management experience. Must have knowledge and experience in the following: Governing supply regulations, policies, processes and procedures issued by DA and the parent command to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance and ability to carry out assigned logistics missions. Command mission, functions, programs, and organization to provide efficient an effective logistical support to the command. Use of office automation equipment and software and logistics automation systems (i.e., Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) and Unit Level Logistics-S4 (ULLS-S4)). Possession of a motor vehicle license (military license for military vehicles and International license for commercial vehicles). Army property accountability and reporting procedures, requisitioning procedures for expendable and non-expendable items, inventory procedures, and maintaining a stock record account. Capable of operating up to a 5000 lb forklift. Supply regulations (AR 710-1, AR 710-2, AR 710-3, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1, DA PAM 710-2-2, CTAs, and NETCOM Reg 710-2), policies and procedures in order to maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system including accounting for lost, damaged, or destruction of government property as a result of abandonment and destruction in war using the Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL). Must have Pbuse Certification.
