Position Purpose:General Summary:

Serves as senior clinician for case managers in department. With managers, develops and implements standards that enhance quality of case management interventions, consistent with professional model, and with mission and policies of Holy Cross Health. Provides process oversight and education toward new staff orientation, staff competency development, and Clinical Documentation Improvement Program (CDIP). Supports Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.

Minimum Licensure & Certification Required (if applicable):

1. Current license from Maryland Board of Nursing or Compact State as Registered Nurse (RN).

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), or certification in Case Management, preferred; extensive case management experience may be considered in lieu of advanced education.

2. Minimum of two (2) years of case management experience, to include quality improvement and clinical documentation enhancement experience in acute hospital setting; previous management or supervisory experience preferred.

3. Knowledge of overall hospital operations, especially in areas of reimbursement and regulatory matters.

4. Highly articulate, with strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to act in assertive, diplomatic and innovative manner; public presentation skills.

5. Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with medical staff, nursing and other professional staff.

6. Leadership ability.

7. Computer literacy and analytic skills.

8. Ability to work with all age groups of patients.Job Description Details:
