The IAM National Pension Fund is conducting a search for a Bookkeeper in their Accounting Department.  The responsibilities require a high degree of bookkeeping and/or accounting knowledge as well as strong communication skills.  This is a Bargaining Unit position

The responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Preparation of monthly tax forms and reports
  • Accounts payable - review invoices, prepare, generate and log transfer checks, prepare deposits and generate reports
  • Assist with payroll, benefit accruals, and flexible spending accounts
  • Assist in the resolution of invoice discrepancies
  • Prepare contribution deposits for Benefit Funds Office
  • Process returned pension checks and repayments
  • Assist with preparation and gathering information for annual audits

Skills & Requirements

  • A College degree or a minimum of 24 hours in accounting course credits
  • Two years bookkeeping experience
  • Strong analytical, writing and math skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with various deadlines
