The Acquisition Analyst's main responsibilities will be to expedite orders of IT equipment from multiple suppliers to the GDIT warehouse and then coordinate with GDIT Warehouse and Scheduling staff to have equipment shipped to the correct destination in time to meet scheduled installations within the contractual Service Level Agreement (SLA). This is a fast paced environment and requires a high level of attention to detail as well as the ability to multitask. This is the front end of an extensive and highly visible process. Specific duties include the following:

• Monitor and track status of in-bound equipment orders from suppliers. 
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers to determine ship status or obtain estimated time of arrival.
• Ensure that all equipment ordered is shipped to the appropriate locations in the fastest possible manner, thus enabling the scheduling staff to set up installations.
• Update internal databases with complete, accurate and timely information.
• Monitor status of assigned orders and update ticket documentation daily. 
• Initiate and create material transfer documents to order movement of equipment from warehouse to customer location.
• Monitor ticket documentation to ensure that equipment moves on schedule.
• Proactively utilize inventory pool equipment to fill customer orders when due-in shipment from vendor does not meet required time frame.
• Ensure required equipment is on-hand and available so that SLA's for all assigned tickets can be met.
• Track down missing equipment and provide a quick solution to have replacement materials shipped to the correct areas in time to meet all SLA's.
• Provide quotes in response to RFQ's submitted by the customer within a 4-hour time of receipt.
• Initiate and process RMA's for Dead on Arrival (DOA) equipment. 
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain equipment credit and have replacement equipment delivered to the appropriate location. 

Education Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.
Qualifications Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in logistics, procurement or other like discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of Customer Service experience 
  • High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to adapt to new situations with little to no ramp-up time
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Experience working with IT equipment suppliers, distributors and/or manufacturers
  • Familiar with product delivery life cycle: provisioning/expediting, purchasing, scheduling, shipping and receipt, routing to final destination, and tracking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • This is a detail oriented position that requires sharp focus and the ability to concentrate and multitask through complex situations
  • Excellent organizational skills.
