Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Trainer - Office of Advancement

The CRM Trainer develops and executes technical training programs, curriculum and content.  S/he writes training programs, including objectives, outlines, text, handouts, tests, exercises, job/teaching aids, user guides, frequently asked questions, process flow diagrams and graphics; completes system and procedural documentation for a wide range of system users; and works with the team to understand the training needs and provide demonstration, orientation and training classes to all types of stakeholders and system users.  Reporting to the Senior Director of Technology Services, the CRM Trainer has duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Develops training and communication materials - for example, writes training programs, including objectives, outlines, text, handouts, tests, exercises, job/teaching aids, user guides, frequently asked questions, and process flow diagrams and graphics. 
  • Executes Demonstration, Orientation and Training Classes to all types of system users and stakeholders.
  • Provides system user support - to include answering user questions about the system/process and triaging user error from system error.
  • Leads and directs the work of other trainers, consultants, and/or call center operators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1 - 2 years of technical experience and teaching experience
  • Strong experience in technical writing, training, instructional design, course development, and resource coordination.
  • Ability to collaborate with instructors, managers, and clients to find out training needs
  • Proficiency in creating web-based training, classroom, and instructional materials, devices, teaching aids, user guides and technical/troubleshooting manuals
  • Superior diagnostic, communication, presentation, and technical skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse constituency, exceptionally strong communication skills
  • The ability to produce high quality deliverables on time
  • Ability to collaborate with project team, managers, and leadership to assess training needs and the ability to work effectively with a diverse constituency
  • Proficiency in creating web-based training, classroom, and instructional materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Proficiency in Camtasia, Snagit, and other online tools
  • Experience with Salesforce - preference for additional experience in higher education
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex material in a straight forward manner
  • Ability to keep communication lines open and moving forward in a productive manner in order to complete this project in a timely manner
