FMS Senior Technical Engineer & Engineering Project Manager, ATRC DAHLGREN VA
GDIT is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer with management experience and experience to support International Programs as a SME on the Aegis Combat System Computer Program requirements with expertise in design; operations; engineering development; systems integration; lifetime support maintenance; or training development with various Surface Combat Systems in support of CSCS and ATRC in Dahlgren VA. 1. Directly and through Senior Engineers manages engineers providing support to CSCS/ ATRC FMS Programs in support of Aegis Program requirements and the definition for current and future Aegis Programs and supporting training systems; this includes Installation; maintenance; repair; overhaul; troubleshooting; modification; construction and testing of various Aegis Combat Systems Computer Programs and supporting training; electrical; electronic; and/or mechanical equipment and related devices. 2. Subject Matter Expert of the Aegis Combat System Computer Program requirements and definition for current and future Aegis Console Submodes 3. Supervises; manages; and evaluates direct report Senior Engineers and Engineers. 4. Develops schedules and assigns work to meet critical customer deadlines. 5. Ensures that proper records and other documentation are maintained. 6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 7. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work experience which would be: Qualifications 1. Eight (8) to ten (10) years of directly related experience managing engineering operations and requirements in support of the Aegis Combat System computer Program. 2. Eight (8) to ten (10) years of as a Subject Matter Expert of the Aegis Combat System Computer Program requirements and definition for current and future Aegis Console Submodes Requires travel up to 10 % of time including international travel; must be fit enough to embark ship for 5-10 days.
