Space Analyst (Management Analyst III)
Develops and maintains accurate space inventory of all buildings in the Facility Management Department portfolio for internal and external reporting purposes. Assumes responsibility for planning, developing, establishing and controlling methods, procedures, and systems for recording and analyzing facility and space utilization. Develops and plans space survey and audit methodologies. Provides space use statistics, customized analysis, floor plans and space data. Develops and presents reports to executive management. Read and interprets architectural and engineering drawings. Produces and delivers space utilization plans benchmarks, and strategic scenarios. Establishes, cultivates and maintains effective relationships with various internal and external county staff. Performs duties of department's system administrator and technical expert for a Computer Information Facility Management Systems Space Management/Planning modular, AutoCad and other complex space/construction management software. Incumbent is considered emergency service personnel. Incumbent reports directly to the Assistant Director of Design, Engineering and Construction.Employment Standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in field related to the assigned functional area; plus four years of professional work experience with in the functional area such as human resources, budgeting and financial management, contract administration and business management, business administration, public administration, mathematics, statistics or related field.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid driver's license.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.
Advanced-level analytical work in the area of space management for a large portfolio of commercial buildings. Experience with AutoCAD software.
Manual and visual dexterity, able to discern color, able to bend, stoop, crawl and access tight spaces. Standing for considerable periods of time. Able to operate computer, electronic equipment and measuring devices. Able to lift 25 pounds. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
Panel interview and may include written exercise.
