The George Mason University School of Music seeks qualified applicants for a part-time Auditions Coordinator and Student Recruitment Assistant. This is a 29 hour per week position. Responsibilities: * Manage schedule, coordinate, and oversee all scheduled audition days for School of Music, undergraduate and graduate; * Oversee processing of all applications and results and communicate with university and CVPA admissions, area coordinators, and ensemble directors; * Oversee all communication of undergraduate acceptance and denial letters; * Manage and generate new student files; * Compile report on results of auditions for faculty and university officials; * Manage student files for scholarship information to communicate with scholarship committee; * Manage database and distribution of scholarships for CVPA, financial aid and School of Music; * Process all pre-screen materials and auditions through SlideRoom site, assisting with graduate admission materials; * Meet with prospective students and parents to address questions; * Manage use of promotional display and materials for School of Music; * Maintain contact database for potential students; * Track and record feeder high schools for the School of Music in the Commonwealth of Virginia and around the country; * Coordinate day shadows for prospective students to observe courses and ensembles; * Represent School of Music at university admissions events, and outside arts specific recruitment events; and * Assist in compiling content of student recruitment materials and coordinate with marketing department on design and production.

Required Qualifications: * Strong written and verbal communication skills; * Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well with a diverse group of faculty, staff, prospective students, and their families; * Demonstrated experience with database and file management; and * Familiarity with social media, marketing, and outreach efforts for recruitment.

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working in a university setting; and * Experience with SlideRoom and Ellucian Banner.
