Project Analyst - Ft. Detrick
General Dynamics is currently hiring a Medical System Project Analyst for USAMMDA, located at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland. USAMMDA develops new drugs, vaccines and medical support devices that enhance readiness, ensure provisions of the highest quality medical care to the DoD and maximize the survival of medical casualties on the battlefield. The product managers at USAMMDA guide promising new concepts and technologies developed in the USAMRMC laboratories through advanced development and the regulatory process to obtain U.S. FDA certification. Upon FDA certification, USAMMDA works in conjunction with the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency to develop plans for fielding medical materiel. The Medical System Project Analyst responsibility will be primarily responsible for writing, developing and reviewing technical manuals, publications, and briefings to ensure they conform to DoD, MEDCOM and MRMC standards. In addition, the contractor will support the production of articles written in Associated Press style for use by Public Affairs.
- Researches, writes, prepares and edits for printed manuals, documentation, and supporting materials for non-medical and medical equipment following standard guidelines for technical publications.Researches, writes, prepares and edits for printed manuals, documentation, and supporting materials for non-medical and medical equipment following Associated Press guidelines for journalistic publications.Prepares and maintains documentation and publications relating to users’ products, and services.Ensures documents meet editorial and customer specifications and adhere to standards for quality, graphics, format, and style.Conduct interviews with engineers and other technical personnel to become familiar with product technology and development methods to ensure accuracy in document material. Coordinate layout and organization of documentation, review and revise previously created documentation and create graphical images, flow charts, and diagrams for inclusion in documentation. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.Assist in coordinating strategic communications, press releases, or other noteworthy information within the Public Affairs Office (PAO), as appropriate.Review, edit, and proofread materials written by others. Participates in special projects as required.
