Responsible for broad, first level QA review of all incoming data, with ability to identify problems and make effective use of available resources for solutions.  Assists in tracking and recording project activities and information.  Provides ongoing TA to data-submitting agencies via e-mail, phone, fax, and in-person. Assists in preparation of data summaries/reports (graphic and tabular) for written and oral presentation, and makes in-person presentations to both large and small groups. Maintains meticulous electronic records of all communications with customers/clients. Assists or takes the lead in developing TA documents that provide guidance for reporting requirements.

Education Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field is required. 

Qualifications Qualifications:

 

Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to make public presentations is required.   Must be customer service oriented.  Position requires attention to detail and accuracy.  A minimum of 5-8 years experience required, but, education experience could be substituted. Two (2) to Five (5) years experience providing training and TA is strongly desired.

 

Skills and Abilities

 

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and statistical analyses required.  Knowledge/experience with Microsoft WORD and PowerPoint required.

Additional skills that would be a plus include knowledge/experience with SPSS or SAS software packages, and Microsoft ACCESS.  A research background and orientation is strongly preferred.

 

Travel Requirement

Travel within the US and US Territories is required to perform on-site assistance and conduct trainings at conferences.
