The Secretary will provide principal secretarial support to the PMA-281 Program Manager (PM) (O-6) and Principle Deputy Program Manager (PDPM). The Secretary maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the PM and staff, works fairly independently receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance, and performs various clerical and secretarial duties requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the office. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

    Receives and directs PMA visitorsCoordinates conference room reservationsSchedules and coordinates meetings for PM and PDPMDevelops presentations and consolidates presentation content from multiple providersOperates Video Teleconference (VTC) equipment in support of meetingsManages PMA office suppliesUses the Defense Travel System (DTS) to:
      Make travel authorizationsMake travel reservationsComplete travel claims
    Participate in special projects as required
 

The successful candidate will be able to multi-task, will have the interpersonal skills to receive tasking from multiple sources, prioritize requests and politely put lower requests on-hold while working high priority tasks. The candidate will also have the organizational skills to keep track of deferred tasks and requests and complete them in a timely manner. Specific skills required include: a functional proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and the DTS system. The candidate must be able to create, from start to finish, a complete DTS Authorization and DTS Voucher.

Education Requires a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications Two (2) years of related administrative experience including one (1) year experience with the Defense Travel System required.

 

Secret security clearance required.
