NOVA Parks is seeking an EVENT FACILITY MANAGER at Occoquan Regional Park, Lorton, Virginia.  Hiring Salary Range $48,027.41 – 52,698.37.  Excellent Benefits. 

The EVENT FACILITY MANAGER is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating and executing an operational management plan for NOVA Parks’ event rental facilities. Work is performed under the general direction of the Park Operations Superintendent with considerable latitude for independent judgment and action. Annual performance goals will be set for the Event Facility Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Market and promote use of facilities and services;
  • Assist w/management of personnel;
  • Coordinate and oversee events and operations;
  • Administer reservation system for rental facilities;
  • Assist w/development and management of budget;
  • Perform various office/clerical functions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited college/university with a bachelor’s degree in the hospitality industry, public relations, or closely related field.

Physical: Non-manual work with strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Will lift and move banquet tables and chairs; will climb ladders.

Experience: Three years of progressively responsible experience as special events coordinator, or any equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
