General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring for full-time Logistics Manager to join the GDIT team. This position is located in Pyongtaek, South Korea. Be a part of an exciting opportunity. This project will move the military hospital from Seoul to Camp Humphreys. This hospital services all active military and their families. The complexity of this project will be moving a working hospital with no distribution to patient care.


Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance and/or repair activities.

  • Supports the on-site project manager and the equipment planning team in capture of all initial outfitting requirements spanning all medical equipment, non-medical equipment, furnishings, and information technology items. 
  • Supports purchasing transactions and submissions to the corporate electronic purchasing system.
  • Coordinates and completes required purchasing forms/documents in order to execute the purchase of required items (i.e., Purchasing Packages, Purchase Orders).
  • Monitors all purchases to track delivery, installation, and training. Coordinates with the project manager on a daily basis any perceived schedule slippages.
  • Takes the lead on GDIT purchasing center and vendor-related questions/issues on delivery, installation, and training actions. Report status and perceived schedule slippage to the project manager on a daily basis.
  • Involved with wall-to-wall inventories and spot checks to validate equipment received prior to the new facility opening.
  • Oversees third party logistics subcontractor to include warehouse operations. Ensure they are adhering to GDIT and Army regulations and processes.
  • Coordinates and reports all delivery and distribution actions in accordance with the project schedule and occupancy criteria.
  • Oversees the receipt processing, inspection, and acceptance process related to all equipment and furnishings applied for outfitting the new facility while closely coordinating and receiving input from biomedical equipment and information technology specialists who perform direct inspection of equipment.
  • Oversees the process to inspect all incoming items to ensure no damage or incorrect items were shipped. Take immediate corrective actions in the event there are problems.
  • Supervises (lead, mentor, evaluate) a Logistics Assistant.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
Education 1.  BA/BS in management science, operations research, logistics, engineering, information systems, or similar technical/scientific discipline required. Equivalent technical training and experience may be considered.


2.  Understanding and experience in the logistics and equipment management during a health facility relocation.


3.  Technical and logistics expertise that includes a diverse mix of skills encompassing logistics planning, life cycle management, third party logistics, equipment planning, procurement, and customer interaction.

  • 10-15 years of related experience in logistics, traffic and/or supply chain management.  5+ years of recent experience in facilities management with emphasis in equipment planning, logistics and vendor coordination.
  • Proficient with presentation and project management software, such as MS Power-Point and MS Project.
  • Excellent and professional communications skills with all levels of authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required given the wide array of reports and presentations that this candidate will prepare and deliver.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
  • Understanding of the Korean business culture.
  • Bilingual with English and Korean is a definite plus.
  • Considerable walking, reaching, stepping/climbing on ladders, and light lifting is required. Physical activities are common on a daily basis.
  • Local travel between Camp Humphreys and Yongsan will be required for the initial phase of this project.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
  • Must be able to meet the requirements for SOFA status
